This is a fine art print of my original gouache painting depicting a Green Sea Turtle snacking on a Moon Jellyfish. This piece is an extension of my work from the Pinellas Park “Only Rain Down the Drain” creative mural challenge. This painting was very special to me, as I visited the Turtle Hospital in Marathon, FL, where I learned all about the risks of pollution ending up in out waterways. I chose this design for the mural project because research shows that sea turtle will often ingest plastic bags, mistaking them for jellyfish and because research shows green sea turtles are one of the species that ingests the most plastic. By keeping our storm drains free of debris, we can protect these beautiful and endangered creatures.
This print is available as an 8×8” or 11×11” art print. (shipping profiles are still listed the same as 11×14” and 8×10”, but the actual print is square and therefore trimmed down to 11×11” and 8×8” respectively)
**11×11” prints are numbered limited (edition of 50) prints and come with a certificate of authenticity.
