Upside-down Jellyfish Sticker
With these 3” Upside-down jellyfish, die-cut sticker singles, it’s easy to decorate your notebooks, laptops, skateboards, water containers, and more. Each sticker is individually cut and has a glossy surface.
Florida has 2 species of Upside-down jellyfish: Cassiopea xamachana and Cassiopea frondosa
These jellyfish are different in that they are benthic, meaning instead of drifting at the top of the water, they drift on or near the bottom of the ocean, and instead of the tentacles drifting below the bell, their tentacles are faced upward, with the bell flipped upside down. Another interesting fact about the upside-down jellyfish is that it hosts symbiotic algae that help produce food through photosynthesis and produces oxygen, allowing the jellyfish to better survive in oxygen poor water.
This sticker was designed using my original watercolor painting featuring the Creatures of the Florida Mangroves and can also be found on a Mug and Bookmark in my shop.
